From the Photograph, to a Language in light.
On page 90 of For the Love of the Photograph, I wrote: 'This is truly a toe dip into the subject of light, I feel it deserves its own book.'
Now it has one. It also has a Substack, four volumes of PDFs and a book incoming.
This is Volume One.
Thirteen weeks. Thirteen qualities of light. Not to study them, to live alongside them. In the kitchen window. The hardware store corridor. The playhouse in the rain. Each week overlaps and echoes the one before, the way light itself does. Some of it will land immediately. Some of it will wait.
You do not need a camera. You need your eyes, your attention and a willingness to go toward what you notice.
This is not a photography manual. It is an invitation to begin again with light, and with how you see.
73 page PDF. The first step of a longer journey.
Light waits. Step into it.
