The Neighbours Hall, Great Milton
When life felt shaken and uncertain, I needed something to steady me.
In July 2025 I returned to England with my children. I was home, they were on the opposite side of the world from theirs. A mountain rose before me. Creativity stood at my side, as it always has. I began my climb.
My muse appeared, one day returning on the school run. A beacon on the landscape. An unlit one. I knew she would help me find my way back.
Held by What Moves is a series captured over twelve months — sometimes regularly, sometimes with months in-between. But like a good friend, it never mattered.
This November an exhibition will be held in the Neighbours Hall, Great Milton, not two miles from the windmill. In October an essay will be published nationally, I will share it here.

‘A Walk to the Windmill’ Workshop
On Sunday 15th November from 10.30-12.30pm, followed by time in the exhibition together. We will take a two-mile guided walk to the windmill. Storytelling, slow looking with a printed guide to take home. Any camera, any level.
Limited to 8–10 places. Booking up fast.

About Chlöe
Chlöe Lodge is an Oxfordshire-based photographer with over twenty years of international experience across six countries . She has a deep, quiet obsession with the details other people walk past. Her work has been recognised by Nikon and Panasonic Lumix, and she's the author of For the Love of the Photograph. The windmill has been her constant subject for the past year; this exhibition is what that constancy became.
