In January I held a competition. The prize was just this – a beautiful shoot for two people to be at one, to look into each other’s eyes and remember why they chose that person, the one right beside them, to be their person. To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, even in the madness and rush of life. On January 12th a name was drawn from a hat, the good old traditional way and that name was Olimpia. Not long after we got in touch, we started talking and planning their session. It was to be March 7th on their 7th wedding anniversary out on the water whilst watching the sky turn from bright blue into the warm golden glow of sunset. And then there they were, touched by the evening sun (with me sitting quietly in the corner and sometimes balancing on a ledge) celebrating, reminiscing, laughing and loving. Memories and moments to last a lifetime. What a prize. What a couple xxx

Last week I journeyed just beyond the metropolis of Dubai for a beautiful afternoon with these two. Our session was a celebration of their life together, a life they have built over many years, ten of those as husband and wife, and three of which they have shared with the most adorable twin boys. They are adventurers at heart and are never more content than when out exploring and seeing new places. I always try and be an observer in my sessions, with the occasional gentle direction but these two didn’t need any help, they were in their happy place, right by each other’s side or held tight in each other’s arms. It was one of those sessions that by the end my cheeks ached from all the smiles and my memory card burst full of amazing moments some of which you can see here. Thank you Chantell and Les for sharing your love and special moments. You were a dream to capture that afternoon in the sunshine. xxx

A gorgeous morning spent with two of the happiest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting here in Dubai. The wonderful Senem and Altan awaiting the arrival of their little boy blue. xxx

These two are so very much in love, not only with each other but also with the little life growing in Dalia’s beautiful bump. It was a wonderfully bracing morning out in the desert, thank you for being gorgeous and for the delicious breakfast we enjoyed after our session xxx

When the lovely Melina contacted me asking if I would do a shoot for her and her family over Christmas I absolutely agreed, then she mentioned there would be twelve of them… eleven Greeks and an Englishman. Sounds a little like a film title, doesn’t it? Well, we jumped, ran, danced and sang our way into the sunset. And flew, did I mention those butterfly wings and how much I love them? Anyway, here they are, in full brilliant colourful array. Loved, loved, loved our session and boy did I sleep well that night! Much love to you Melina and your gorgeous, gorgeous family xxx
