I was an Event Manager in London organising corporate Christmas parties, team-building away days and in 2003 I was Bear Grylls' right-hand woman during the organisation of his expedition across the North Atlantic in an open-top RIB. In 2004 a year of change and challenge was upon me when I set out on my own round-the-world adventure lasting almost three years. Whilst living and working in New Zealand (a country very close to my heart since marrying my gorgeous Kiwi, James) a long lost flame was reignited, my love of photography.
On returning to the UK I began my pursuit of photography as a profession. Whilst tapping into my previously acquired knowledge of light, form, texture and composition from a BA (Hons) Art History degree (Oxford Brookes University 1996-99), I initially shot for a local food publication: Foodies and a London-based Event agency: Sense, as well as a handful of weddings.
In 2010, Paris, the City of Light and birth-place of photography, beckoned. After an intense year of focus I graduated in 2011 with a European Masters in Professional Photography specialising in Photojournalism from Speos Photographic Institute. Inspired by photographers such as Jane Evelyn Atwood and Maya Goded, it is my desire to continually learn and grow, enriching and strengthening my life through the lens.
It is an absolute delight to be making my childhood dream a reality - spending each and every day capturing life as it unfolds around us through documentary portraiture and travel photography.
All this and more, I bring to you by sharing my work and hopefully one day capturing your life today, for tomorrow.
